Drawing in Different Mediums
Six Week Course

Tuesdays 10.30am – 12.30pm
from 4th February to 10th March

We will draw and sketch using different mediums throughout the 6 weeks, working from photographs, still life and models.

Botanical Drawing in Graphite
One Day Workshop

Saturday 22nd February
10.30am – 3.30pm

Using just graphite pencils, we will discover how lovely this medium is, learning what the different pencils do, shading and doing exercises so you will be confident in drawing small illustrations throughout the day using photographs and still life.

Using Black Backgrounds
One Day Workshop

Tuesday 14th April
10.30am – 3.30pm

Black backgrounds are great fun and not scary! In the morning, we will work on 3 different types of black surface, using different mediums on each, break for lunch, then in the afternoon you choose which surface to use to complete a picture, using photographs supplied.

Beginners and Refreshers Watercolours
Six Week Course

Tuesdays 10.30am – 12.30pm
from 21st April to 26th May

We will go through a different watercolour technique each week including basic washes, graduated washes, wet in wet, showing you all the techniques required to get you started in watercolours.

Pen and Watercolours
One Day Workshop

Friday 15th May
10.30am – 3.30pm

To start, we will go through basic pen techniques and do shading excercies. Then, using photographs supplied, we will use pen and watercolours, working on small illustrations throughout the day to produce 4 finished pieces of work.

Coloured Pencils Introduction
One Day Workshop

We will go through the basics of how to use coloured pencils, learning patience and how lovely this medium is. Working from photographs and still life, we will produce small illustrations of different subjects, building up your confidence in using coloured pencils.

Working with Soft Pastels
Six Week Course

Tuesdays 10.30am – 12.30pm
from 7th July to 11th August

Over the 6 weeks we will use soft pastels trying out different papers and learning different techniques to enable you to paint skies, landcapes, seascapes, fur and stil life. A great way to experiment with this lovely medium.

Working with Pastels
One Day Workshop

Friday 21st August
10.30am – 3.30pm

Starting with learning how to transfer an image onto your paper, we will use soft pastels to produce a finished picture from photographs supplied, or bring your own photograph sized to A4.
