Introducing Jacqueline

Based in Wivenhoe, near Colchester, I have been drawing from an early age and studied art and design at Colchester Institute and Somerset College of Art & Technology in Taunton, I set up my own business in 1993.

My illustration services allow me to indulge my love of ‘freehand’ drawing with my pencils, pastels and watercolours – the nature of my illustration commissions; clients’ family members, pets and favourite places mean that they are always varied and interesting, each day bringing something new.

Family members, pets and special places make fantastic pieces of art from your photos!

Working from your favourite photographs, I am able to produce wonderful portraits of people, animals and places that you will love and enjoy. I can remove unwanted elements, add bits in, the options are endless!

I offer a choice of creative styles, including

single colour pencil
full colour pencil
pastel
watercolour

Offering a range of styles means that I can create pieces of art from your photos that reflect your personal preferences. If you are unsure about the best medium for your unique illustration, please contact me and I will be happy to give advice from an artist’s perspective.

If you’d love a beautifully personal piece of art – please get in touch – I am always keen to discuss ideas with potential clients and am more than happy to offer advice should you need it if you are unsure as to what style would best suit your needs – if you’d like to discuss an idea for a piece of work please give me a call.

Creating original art from photographs

I work from photographic prints or digital images – one clear photograph often produces the best results, the larger the better.

Additional photographs are always welcome for extra reference and multiple photographs can be used in the same illustration – I will discuss your individual needs and send a proof of the composition to you for approval before starting and then when your portrait is ready, I will email a proof for final approval.
